History

The High Gabriel Estates subdivision is located in Williamson County, Texas, two miles north of the city of Leander on US Highway 183A and approximately 27 miles northwest of the capital city of Austin. High Gabriel Development Corporation began construction on the High Gabriel Estates residential subdivision in the early 1970's. The South San Gabriel River forms the northern boundary of the subdivision. The subdivision is made up of five separate sections, located on the east and west sides of US183A. Deed restrictions vary for each section.

The High Gabriel Water Supply Corporation operates a public water supply system that provides an independent supply of drinking water exclusively to about 140 households in the High Gabriel Estates subdivision. The High Gabriel Water Supply Corporation is a separate entity from the High Gabriel Estates Property Owners Association.

The property owners of High Gabriel Estates own several common pieces of property, including two private parks alongside the South San Gabriel River.
